What You'll Be Doing: Senior Maintenance Engineer

  • Frontline Leadership: Guide shift engineers and act as the first point of contact for production issues.
  • Reduce Downtime: Direct the team to address mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
  • Plan & Prioritise: Organise workloads to minimise unplanned downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Mentor & Lead: Inspire and support the team to develop their skills and achieve their potential.
  • Promote Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, including permit-to-work compliance.
  • Enhance Performance: Encourage a first-fix culture and continuous improvement in processes.

Main Responsibilities: Senior Maintenance Engineer

  • Lead the engineering team to create a motivated, high-performing culture.
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance to maximise machinery uptime.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Uphold good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and effective use of CMMS for shift activities.
  • Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns with a fix-first-time mindset.
