Job descriptionHygiene Team Leader (EVENING SHIFT)40 Working Hours per Week / temp to perm or perm role for suitable candidate19.00 pm to 3.00 am with one 30 minute unpaid breakMonday to FridayRate of Pay £ 12.22 per hour plus Shift Allowance of 0.30p per hourCompany is based in Flixborough, Scunthorpe and is currently undergoing a period of expansion following the acquisition of new business, this has resulted in a considerable financial investment in new machinery, people, and processes.About the RoleThis is a 'hands on' industrial production cleaning role including the evening supervision and management of two Hygiene Operatives.You will be responsible for ensuring all works of the Hygiene team are carried out to the highest standard and all production machinery is cleaned down in compliance with our food hygiene and factory standards ensuring our production facility is ready for the next production day.You will be responsible for the supervision and completion of a variety of hygiene activities across operational and non-operational areas.* Providing clear leadership, mentoring and training of your team ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards;* Managing the sites daily/weekly and monthly hygiene schedules as well as any machinery Deep Cleans as required;* Ensuring full compliance with current cleaning procedures;* Chemical washing of production and manufacturing equipment;* Safe and careful handling of cleaning chemicals;* Maintaining accurate and up to date hygiene records in accordance with company procedures;* Responsible for communicating and reporting any malfunction, faults or damage found to the belts, machinery or equipment;* Adhering to health and safety regulations;* Performing any other duties that may be reasonably required to support the operations of the business.About YouThis role would suit someone who is used to manual handling as you will be required to stand for the duration of your shift, with some requirements for moderate physical effort, including bending, lifting and the operation of basic manual handling. Where manual handling is required, appropriate training will be provided.This role also requires demonstrated experience ideally cleaning in an industrial food production environment and of supervising, managing and motivating a Hygiene team to perform to their best abilities.You will be a pro-active team worker, with a can do attitude, liaising and co-operating well with all members of staff.You will be flexible and possess a conscientious attitude ensuring that the duties of your team are maintained at all times.Skills and Qualifications You HaveBasic understanding of English both reading and writing.Food Safety Level 2COSHH CertifiedGood team communication skillsYou will be motivational by nature, care about your team and lead by example.You will be comfortable operating with minimal supervision, taking ownership and accountability.Ability to read and understand procedural instructions which are written in EnglishThorough and well organised
