As a Qualified Accountant, you will assume responsibility for a diverse portfolio of clients, comprising FRS 102(1a) and FRS 105 owner-managed companies. Our client requires a candidate with proven expertise in practice environments, supported by robust qualifications. Your proficiency should encompass Account preparation, Audit, Management Accounts, VAT, TAX, CIS, Payroll, and Bookkeeping, with the capacity to navigate to trial balance and beyond.

Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, and Sage is essential for producing year-end statutory accounts adhering to FRS 105 and FRS 102 standards. Your duties will extend to the completion and submission of Corporation tax returns and P11d for companies, alongside adept handling of personal tax returns where applicable.

Description:

  • Preparation and review of financial statements.
  • Completion of personal & corporate tax returns and review of VAT returns.
  • Liaising with clients to provide timely financial information and advice.
  • Working closely with junior team members, providing support and guidance.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Providing business advisory services

Effective client communication is paramount; you will engage with clients via email, phone, and written correspondence, meeting their expectations with professionalism and expertise. The ideal candidate will hold ACA or ACCA qualifications, supported by a minimum of 2 years practice experience PQE. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful Accounts Senior / Accountant should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or QBE equivalent).
  • Practice experience.
  • A good working knowledge of the CCH suite of software for accounts, tax and practice management.
  • Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office is preferable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
