Carbon60 is working with a well known electric company based in Lisburn in Northern Ireland, for a Mechatronic/ Design Engineer. The role is on a long term contract.
Summary of Mechatronic/ Design Engineer Role:The role will be working on all aspects of Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering from design to testing, and certification. As well as supporting the global supply chain to sustain and improve manufacturing/supplier processes.Role:- Support a variety of projects across the business.- Developing Mechanical Designs using CAD modelling.- Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical/Mechatronics (or equivalent with experience).- Proven experience in complex mechanical/electrical systems.- Competency in designing machined metal & sheet metal parts.- 'Hands on' approach to design & testing (ability to assemble and modify prototypes etc.).Desirable Requirements:- Experience working in the power/utilities industry.- Knowledge of Hydraulic/Pneumatic control Systems.- Experience using FMEA, RCA, 8D tools.- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).- CAD experience - Solidworks and/ or AutoCAD
