Maintenance Supervisor opportunity with a leading manufacturer of materials across UK & Ireland
Perfect role for a Lead Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor who would like to take on a new challenge, overseeing a small maintenance team and day to day management of the maintenance function.
It's expected you will be 50/50 hands on, taking leadership of the team, assigning daily tasks, making improvements, organising parts and managing the budget.
Working Monday to Friday Days 7 - 4 Mon to Thurs and 7 - 3 Fri, with an on call rota (paid). Strong salary package is on offer and can be discussed at application stage.
The Role:
You will be responsible for leading a small team of maintenance engineers, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of machinery and equipment. You will play a crucial role in planning maintenance schedules, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to maximize productivity.
- Lead and manage a small team of maintenance engineers and technicians
Develop and oversee preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage budgets and control costs effectively
Oversee contractors and third-party service providers when required
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Organise parts and stores efficiently
What we are looking for
Proven experience in a Lead Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Supervisory/ Managerial
Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background in manufacturing settings
Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ or equivalent)
Experience in managing and developing a team
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong communication and leadership skills
