As a Management Accountant, you will be instrumental in providing accurate financial information and insights that drive business decisions. You'll work closely with senior management to not only report on financial status but also forecast future performance, ensuring the company stay on track towards their financial goals.
Your expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis will be key. You'll manage multiple priorities, from preparing monthly management accounts to supporting strategic planning and investment decisions. My client is looking for someone with a strong background in financial management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Please note: This role is sole office based with NO option for hybrid working.
Day-to-Day of the Role:- Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial accounts and maintain the company's fixed asset register.
- Support the Finance Director with the annual audit process and prepare quarterly VAT returns.
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting, performing cost and variance analysis to provide insights for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and develop internal controls.
- Provide guidance to Finance Assistants and build financial models to support strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance financial transparency and support operational initiatives.
- AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent/experience)
- Proven experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with SAGE preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working in a collaborative environment.
