About the Role: Reed Recruitment is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our clients dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for maintaining both management and financial accounts, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of management information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Financial Oversight: Supervise daily financial transactions and records with the support of the finance team.
- Intercompany Transactions: Manage intercompany journal postings and allocations, including USA intercompany allocations to Goods in Transit and UK FX.
- Royalty Payments: Review and post BPR (royalty) payments accurately.
- Reconciliation: Perform inter-company and bank account reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies.
- Fixed Asset Register (FAR): Maintain the FAR, including additions, disposals, and depreciation runs. Reconcile discrepancies and report for year-end.
- Accruals and Prepayments: Prepare detailed analyses of accrual and prepayment accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Generate Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cost Centre reports. Prepare Bridge Reports with comments and Budget/Forecast updates.
- Cash Flow Management: Update cash flow statements, focusing on PPE spending, repatriation, and corporate tax.
- Audit Preparation: Assist with annual audits and the preparation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS).
- Tax Entries: Post corporate and deferred tax journal entries, reconcile accounts, and address auditor and tax team queries.
- Inventory Management: Oversee stock reconciliation and obsolete stock reporting.
- Liaison Role: Act as the point of reference between finance and operations, efficiently handling internal queries.
- Stock Take and Costing: Arrange annual stock takes and update standard costing.
Candidate Profile:
- Personality: A self-starter who is polite, assertive, and a strong team player. Highly organized and able to work independently.
- Qualifications: ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Experience: Strong background in financial management accounting within an SME.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills and proficiency in JD Edwards.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to understand and communicate the benefits of commercial and rental programs.
- Management: Experience in staff management, with the ability to prioritize workloads and ensure timely completion of tasks.
