Premier Engineering is seeking a Tooling Manager to join a leading manufacturing company based in Littlehampton. This role will involve overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of tooling for production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

The Tooling Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
  • A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in tooling design, development, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding, die-casting, or precision machining processes
  • Proficiency in CAD software for tooling design (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Experience with toolroom management, including budgeting and resource allocation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of tooling engineers and technicians
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
