NEW MATERIAL PROGRAM MANAGER BASED IN LITTLEHAMPTON.

Our client based in West Sussex has a new Material Program Manager to drive supply chain deliverables, optimize engineering inventory, and ensure the successful introduction of new products to market.

As a Material Program Manager, you will be a critical leader in their product development process.  You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage prototype material availability, optimize costs, identify risks, and ensure production readiness. This role is key to aligning supply chain strategies with the dynamic demands of new product introductions.

Responsibilities as a Material Program Manager in Littlehampton.

  • Develop and manage material cost models, focusing on value chains and cost drivers to optimize material costs.
  • Create sourcing plans for prototypes, NPI, production ramps, and long-term production, ensuring alignment with commodity management strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate long-term supply chain risks, including component lifecycle challenges.
  • Oversee supply chain deliverables for product releases and implement process improvements for efficiency.
  • Actively engage with suppliers for identification, selection, and performance management.
  • Optimize engineering inventory through best practices in procurement and inventory disposition.
