Air & Sea Freight Operations Account Manager Overview:
We are proud to be supporting the largest employee-owned freight and logistics company in the world with their UK recruitment.
We are now looking to appoint a dedicated, and experienced Air & Sea Freight Operations Manager to join a dynamic and friendly team based in London Heathrow.
In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end operations, with a 50/50 split on air and road freight, as well as a 50/50 split on export and import. You will play a crucial role in managing quotes/pricing, building relationships with airlines and haulage companies, and ensuring seamless operations for our clients. A good attitude, strong work ethic and excellent customer services skills are essential for this role.
Air & Sea Freight Operations Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end shipment operations, including quoting, booking jobs, monitoring, and customs paperwork
- Maintain service expectations of existing accounts and select appropriate airline/carrier/haulier to maximize profits
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the smooth movement of cargo and stay updated on market trends
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, airlines, and haulage companies
- Manage your own portfolio of work and ensure timely clearance of goods
