Accountable Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation in Liverpool as they seek recruit an experienced Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis.Based in Liverpool city centre, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic finance team.This role is ideal for an AAT-qualified professional or a CIMA/ACCA studier with at least two years of experience in a similar role, looking for a new challenge in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Salary/Benefits:

  • £30,000 - £35,000 per year
  • 35-hour working week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

Job Duties:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately.
  • Prepare and post accruals, prepayment, and wage journals.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Assist in the preparation of draft management accounts.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks.
  • Perform efficient data entry with a high level of accuracy.
  • Use Sage 200 and other accounting software for daily operations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure financial accuracy.

Who will I report to?The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager.When will interviews be taking place?Interviews will take place as soon as possible.

Ideal Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • AAT qualified and relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Sage 200 and other accounting software.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle accounts payable responsibilities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and collaborative skills.
