Audit Director (RI)Description:

We are excited to partner with a prestigious Top 60 accountancy firm in Liverpool that is currently seeking an experienced Audit Director (RI) to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a highly respected firm, offering the chance to shape the direction of the audit function and improvements, while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Directing the audit team to maintain high standards in audit execution and ensure compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Managing the audit process, including planning, fieldwork, and completion, for a varied client portfolio.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong professional relationships, and offering strategic guidance.
  • Reviewing and approving audit files, ensuring precision and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Mentoring and developing audit team members to foster a culture of excellence and professional growth.
  • Identifying opportunities for business development and actively participating in client acquisition efforts.
  • Partnering with senior management to shape the firm's audit strategy and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading a sizeable audit team, with current RI registration or a strong interest in pursuing RI accreditation.
  • Strong expertise in IFRS/UK GAAP.
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience auditing clients across diverse industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large client portfolio.
  • Proven experience in coaching and mentoring a team.
