Are you a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a commercial mindset, leadership experience, and a passion for building scalable financial functions in fast-moving environments?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Financial Controller to join a rapidly growing business poised for significant expansion. Reporting to the CFO, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping financial operations and driving strategic decision-making as part of a dynamic senior leadership team.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage all core finance functions including billing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and more.
  • Oversee a small, agile finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting professional development.
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, forecasts, and statutory statements.
  • Own cash flow management, cost control, and project profitability across the business.
  • Drive financial strategy, supporting growth initiatives, bids, and new revenue streams.
  • Set up and refine group-level processes, from compliance and audit to forecasting and ERP/CRM integration.
  • Work closely with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and HMRC.
  • Champion continuous improvement, internal controls, and financial system development.
  • Contribute to board-level discussions, presenting insight that shapes commercial direction.

What We're Looking For:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience managing end-to-end finance functions in a commercial environment
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, modelling, and data analysis
  • A hands-on leader with a track record of developing teams and embedding KPIs
  • Experience setting up or transforming group-level finance functions
  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and presenting at board level
  • Proactive, adaptable, and driven by continuous improvement and business growth
