Financial Controller

Your new companyThis company is one of Liverpool's fastest growing SME businesses. They manufacture a range of products that are used in the industrial sector, with a more recent new application for the product that is opening up new markets domestically and overseas.Your new roleAs Financial Controller you will report to an experienced Finance Director and lead the finance team in the production of accurate and timely financial information.You will act as business partner to the senior operational leaders and provide support on product costing, pricing and manufacturing decisions.You'll lead the team in the production of monthly management accounts and will prepare financial summaries for review by the Finance Director and the board.You'll optimise the use of finance systems and IT to ensure an efficient process with strong financial controls that can develop as the business continues to grow.At the year end you will be the lead point of contact for the auditors and will be the first point of contact for external partners.With the growth of the business there are a number of projects, including capital projects that will require your input and sometimes leadership.What you'll need to succeedWe are looking for a qualified accountant who has significant experience in the manufacturing sector .You should be familiar with manufacturing reporting and have experience of partnering with operational leaders.You'll have experience of leading a small team and the ambition to apply your skills in a business that is experiencing significant growth.This would suit a candidate looking for their first Financial Controller role.What you'll get in returnIn addition to a competitive salary and benefits package, you'll get the experience of working in a fast growth business under an inspirational FD.You'll learn the skills that will help to propel your career forward and equip you for more senior roles in the future.
