Part-time Financial Controller wanted in Liverpool

About the role:

The role is to work with our existing clients based in Liverpool city centre. One client is in the retail industry, whilst the other is a tech business. Both business are growing SMEs and they need additional levels of expertise to bring even greater visibility around the financials and help the business grow further. The basics in the finance function are covered but there is a need for an experienced and commercially-minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function and help move these business forward, on a part-time basis.

About you:

You should be an experienced Financial Controller with experience working in growing SMEs. Preferably, you are already self-employed and available quickly with at least 2 days of availability per week.

Your expertise should include:

  • management accounts

  • balance sheet reconciliations

  • budgets, cashflow and profit forecasting

  • experience and working knowledge of Xero

  • experience of managing and leading a small team

  • experienced in assessing and implementing appropriate financial controls

  • be commercially experienced

  • year-end processes (but not statutory accounts)

  • experienced excel user including pivots, sumifs and graphs

  • proficiency in presenting financial and commercial information to non-financial leaders

  • you must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) with experience managing a finance team.

As this role is two days a week (self employed basis) it could work alongside other client work

Rate of pay: £35 per hour

Location: Liverpool - Onsite 2 days p/week
