My client is a leader in its field across the UK. With 10+ entities within the group, spanning multiple sectors and focuses. This role presents a dynamic opportunity to join a company which has acheived considerable growth and future plans on securing additional aquisitions and diversification. The group has over 800 staff, with a robust finance and commerical function. 

The Opportunity

The Group Financial Accountant will be a key part of the broader finance team. Providing support and expertise with their ongoing financial compliance and excellence. Working closely with the Head of Finance, this role will gain exposure to all companies within the group. Providing a great opportunity to further develop and build a strong understanding of the groups Financial Controls and processes.

Role & Responsibilities

The Group Financial Accountants key objectives will be:

  • Statutory accounts production and the preparation of the annual statutory accounts across the group.
  • Be a key part of the external audit project.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance on regulatory and statutory financial reporting requirements
  • Manage and oversee entity management accounts for board reporting
  • Oversee the accuracy of the groups financial management system
  • Be a key part within a new ERP implementation
  • Assist Head of Finance with producing, implementing and monitoring financial plans and polices
  • Support and provide development to the Senior Finance Officer

Skills & Experience

  • Newly qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Practice experience, ideally within audit at a top 10 firm
  • Ideally looking for a first time move into industry
  • Eagerness to further develop
  • Strong understanding of Financial Controls and processes
  • Exceptional understanding of Statutory Accounts production and broader financial management
