Reed Finance have recently partnered up with a fantastic SME business who are on the lookout for their next Group Financial Controller. Dealing with an annual turnover of £10 million this client is looking for someone with a strong background in finance at a similar level and are open to level of qualification.

Ideally a candidate with a background in hospitality this is an exciting position for someone looking to develop and utilise skills gained in a similar role.

The Role:

  • Oversee and develop the finance function, including reporting, tax, and sometimes FP&A.
  • Handle internal reporting, like monthly management accounts and ad hoc reports.
  • Manage external reporting, including board packs and reports to lenders and investors.
  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring compliance and accurate cash forecasting.
  • Manage external audits and develop internal controls for growth.
  • Keep the team updated on IFRS and manage accounting policies.

The Person:

  • QBE, Part Qualified or fully qualified
  • Must be personable as working with a small finance team
  • Must have great communication skills both written and verbally
  • Experience with Xero is an advantage
  • Ideally must be a driver due to location
