Description

The Internal Audit & Risk Senior is principally responsible for the following core elements:

  • Undertaking Group internal audits. This will include operational audits over specific regions which will consider a number of key areas such as exchange compliance, operations, administration, H&S, security as well as functional audits including Finance, IT, HR etc.
  • Follow up and tracking of internal audit actions through to closure. Including additional support to the wider business to address process/control failures where required.
  • Acting as a critical friend to the Group on control, audit and risk related matters.
  • Development and maintenance of Group risk register
  • Investigation and other ad-hoc project work, as required.
  • Working with the Group Head of to agree an internal audit plan covering key areas utilising a risk-based approach.
  • Lead and conduct internal audit engagements from planning to reporting. This will include operational audits over specific regions which will consider a number of key areas e.g. exchange compliance, operations, administration, H&S, security as well as functional audits e.g. Finance, IT, HR etc.

Profile

A successful Internal Audit & Risk Senior should have:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Professional qualification (such as ACA, ACCA, IIA, or equivalent)
  • 3 years or more previous auditing experience, whether gained in external or internal audit.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels within the Group.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable business acumen.
  • Ability to travel internationally to other Group locations as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced sector, and to change priorities as required to meet business requirements.
