  • Our client seeks an experienced Management Accountant, ideally a CIMA/ACCA finalist, for an office-based role from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30.
  • The salary for this position ranges from £35,000 to £38,000, depending on experience, along with benefits such as study support, 22 days of holiday, private healthcare, and a non-contributory pension scheme.
  • Candidates should have proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role, with ideally 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Key responsibilities include preparing accruals, maintaining the fixed asset register, assisting in management accounts preparation, and conducting bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
  • The role requires proficiency in accounting software, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Our client requires an experienced Management Accountant (ideally CIMA/ACCA finalist) to join our team .

Office based (Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30)

Salary/Benefits:

Job duties

  • Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, ad-hoc journals as required
  • Assist in maintaining fixed asset register
  • Assist in preparation of management accounts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • VAT returns
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly invoicing routines
  • Support finance and operational teams with ad-hoc tasks
  • Detailed analysis and reporting as required
  • Validate incoming invoices against internal records/reports
  • (Some) sales/purchase ledger input as required
  • Assist in preparation for annual external audit
  • Assist in treasury management and cashflow planning

Reporting to: Finance Director

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

  • Proven Management Accountant experience or similar role (ideally 2-3 years)
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Advanced Excel (eg Vlookup, Whatif, Pivot tables)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills
  • Effective communicator
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Good overall I.T. knowledge (knowledge of SQL and Dataflow accounts package preferred but not essential)
  • Assist in maintenance of I.T. systems
