New Vacancy: Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be exclusively supporting a growing SME organisation in Liverpool who are keen to appoint a senior Financial Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.
This is a newly created role that will bring much needed support to the Finance Director and senior leadership team. The ideal applicant will be a newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), who is familiar to producing month end management accounts and managing working capital.
You will support the transactions team and oversee purchase ledger and credit control, managing supplier payments and aged debtors. Experience of supervising others, providing training, direction and support would be advantageous.
Long term the Finance Director is succession planning, therefore you will have the time to grow and develop within the business with a clear pathway to eventually take over as Finance Director.
You will be a commercial, pragmatic individual with the technical skills to manage the controls and produce accurately financial reports and insight to the performance of the company. A self-motivated team player who is ambitious and keen to develop their career is required.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for:
- Being a pivotal member of the team whilst providing technical, financial support to the Finance Director
- Supervising a team of three, ensuring best practice, training and delegation of workloads
- Produce monthly management accounts with commentary, cash flow forecast, VAT returns
- Managing working capital, aged debt, treasury, banking
- Getting involved in projects, leading process improvements
- Analysing financial data and providing key
The ideal applicant, will be:
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), seeking a permanent job in Liverpool
- An experienced accountant with a proven track record who can take ownership and run the department on a day-to-day basis.
- A pro-active, resilient and self-motivated individual who enjoys being 'hands on'.
- Be a team player with excellent leadership skills and the ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
- A team player with excellent communication skills who enjoys working collaboratively across the various teams
- Experience of Sage line 50 with strong MS Excel skills.
