Assistant AccountantSalary: £30,000 - £35,000Location: Knowsley

Accountable Recruitment are excited to be working with a growing, values-led organisation based near Knowsley, who are looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Accountant to support their busy finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience in a varied and fast-paced finance environment.

What will your responsibilities include?
  • Assisting with month and and management accounts preparation
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with monthly reporting cycles
  • Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts across multiple entities
  • Supporting internal and external audits, including collating required documentation and assisting with audit queries
  • Working closely with internal teams and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax submission
  • Providing admin and project support across the wider finance team
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset
  • Activley studying toward a professional qualification
  • A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to manage a varied workload
