Reed accountancy are currently working with a fantastic growing business who are looking for a credit controller to join their team on a full time hybrid basis. The right candidate will have previous experience within a similar role and will be in a position to hit the ground running.

This client deals with multiple customers and the right candidate will be expected to deal with multiple systems to accommodate this so someone who is able to pick up new systems.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and collect debts from company debtors.
  • Ensure timely payments are made.
  • Process incoming funds, reconcile invoices, and resolve account queries.
  • Monitor debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors.
  • Liaise with customers and internal departments to resolve payment issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on credit control activities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of credit control processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Relevant qualifications in finance or accounting.
