The Human Resources function plays an integral part in supporting the businesses' People Strategy and offers professional HR support and guidance to each area of the organisation.

As the People Advisor you will get actively involved in Employee Relations procedures. You will support the HR Manager in providing HR advice and guidance and supporting the wider team by sharing your experience and knowledge.

You will provide empathetic and pragmatic generalist support aligned to our Company Values to our Operations Divisions across the UK. There will also be opportunities to support and work on various People, Engagement, Charity, and Wellbeing related projects throughout the year. Our team also support our Charity Committee, the Engagement Team and our team of Mental Health First Aiders, as well as the employee relations aspect of the role, so this is a truly generalist opportunity.

Job Title: People AdvisorWorking hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pmLocation: Liverpool Sites on a Hybrid working basis

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 DOE

What you will be doing:

  • To be one of the main points of contact for HR queries within the team, advising remotely via MS Teams and face to face
  • Advise and guide our Operational managers on issues related to employee relations in line with Company policy and ACAS best practice
  • Advise and guide our colleagues in an empathetic manner on issues related to employee relations in line with Company policy and ACAS best practice
  • Manage an ongoing generalist caseload covering medium to low-risk employee relation cases across the business
  • Manage all administrative paperwork in relation to case work in line with the HR Team SLAs
  • Ensure that all HR case data is kept up to date and managed in line with the HR Team SLAs
  • Manage a case load of colleagues referred to our Occupational Health Provider, then following up with mangers and colleagues to embed reasonable adjustments and wellbeing
  • Assist in the delivery of the Company Wellbeing Strategy
  • Support the Engagement Team, Charity Committee and Mental Health Fist Aiders where needed

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience with working in a fast-paced Employee Relations environment
  • Ability to deliver consistently in a high-volume environment working to KPIs
  • Familiar with Employment Law and ACAS best practice
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Working towards CIPD L3 as a minimum
  • Financial Services or Contact Centre environment experience would be preferred
  • Experience of Dayforce would be an advantage
