Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated EYFS Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and be committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment. As an EYFS Nursery Practitioner, you will help implement our curriculum, support children's development, and ensure that the nursery provides a safe, stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the EYFS framework and help plan age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development across all areas (communication and language, physical development, personal, social, and emotional development, literacy, and mathematics).
  • Provide high-quality care for children, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
  • Work closely with other team members to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment.
  • Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents/carers, and ensure development records are kept up to date.
  • Support children's personal, social, and emotional development by fostering positive relationships and encouraging good behavior.
  • Build strong relationships with children and their families, encouraging open communication.
  • Assist with the daily routines of the nursery, including mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor play.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities.


Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children in an early years setting.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and how to support children's learning and development.
  • Good understanding of child safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
  • A caring, patient, and nurturing attitude.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


Desirable:

  • Experience in key person roles.
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification.
  • Knowledge of British Sign Language or other language skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
