Job Opportunity: High School Food TechnicianLocation: Knowsley, United KingdomPosition: Food Technician (Term-Time)Contract Duration: Immediate start covering a maternity post (with potential for extensions)Hours of Work: 8:30 AM to 3:30PM, Monday to Friday, term time onlyAs a Food Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Food Technology department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Practical Sessions:Set up and organise practical food preparation sessions for students.
- Equipment Maintenance:Ensure that kitchen equipment and utensils are clean, safe, and ready for use.
- Ingredient Management:Assist with stock control, ordering, and receiving deliveries of food supplies.
- Health and Safety:Adhere to health and safety guidelines during practical sessions.
- Supporting Teaching Staff:Collaborate with teachers to enhance students' learning experiences.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications within the food industry.
- Previous experience carrying out a food technician role in a school is desirable.
