Credit Controller - Permanent

£26,000pa - Knowsley

I am working with a fantastic client based in Knowsley looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join the team on a permanent full time basis.

Successful candidates must ideally have extensive experience as a Credit Controller and be able to hit the ground running. You must also be available immediately or at short notice.

Experience dealing with Credit Insurance and understanding credit ratings of companies and obtaining reports through Experian or Credit Safe is essential.

Responsibilities as a Credit Controller:

  • Checking customer’s credit and approving or denying it, based on industry standards
  • Negotiating payment plans and setting up terms and conditions
  • Setting up repayments and working with Debt Counsellors
  • Ensuring customers pay on time and charge them for overdue invoices
  • Starting legal proceedings if clients do not pay their debts on time
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Implementing changes in the company’s credit control system

Requirements of the role:

  • Previous experience as a Credit Controller.
  • Be able to work autonomously and hit the ground running.
  • Good communication skills.
