We are seeking a Housing Contracts Manager to support our Repairs Manager and Team Leader in the procurement, mobilisation, and management of Disrepair and Complex Repairs contracts. This role is crucial in acting as a subject matter expert for contract management within the Business Management and Repairs functions. The successful candidate will ensure the effective delivery of legislative repair activity for all Group residential properties, maintaining them in a sound and safe condition.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Accountable for the management of contract management, risk management, and monitoring control measures.
  • Lead risk-based judgements in areas such as Section 11 Disrepair claims, HHSRS Category 1, Party Wall matters, and Customer Improvement requests.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
  • Provide efficient and effective technical expertise, planning, and administrative support.
  • Offer a technical consultative service to Asset Services to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory and legislative responsibilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Professional qualification in Asset Management (e.g., Lv4 diploma in Asset Compliance) or HNC in Building/Construction/Asset Management or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of successful contract implementation and management for a large and diverse portfolio of mixed tenure properties.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract formation, construction contracts, service level agreements, contract performance management, and dispute resolution.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general operating procedures within an Asset Management function.
  • Familiarity with CDM – Construction Design and Management regulations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Results-driven with strong analytical skills and the ability to critically analyse complex information.
  • Commercially aware with a focus on continuous improvement and driving change.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
