Graduate Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for recent graduates to work as Graduate Teaching Assistant at Tradewind Recruitment, supporting Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Schools across Liverpool.

We are seeking individuals with a passion for education, eager to gain experience in an educational environment. Tradewind works with SEND schools in Merseyside who are looking for dedicated support staff to assist children aged 3-19 with a diverse range of additional needs.

We are happy to consider graduates from any course, providing they can demonstrate a passion and willingness to commit to a role working with children. Training will be provided.

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with class teachers to facilitate lessons and provide individual support.
  • Provide personalised support to children on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Assessing students in line with their learning objectives.
  • Assisting with the implementation and updating of Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

Requirements:

  • Possess a degree in any subject area.
  • Demonstrate a passion for working with children.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Have 2 professional or educational references.
  • Have a CV outlining your educational and employment history.
  • Hold the legal right to work in the UK.
