Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEND Schools in Liverpool and Sefton
Tradewind Recruitment are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistants to gain valuable school-based experience in SEND schools across Liverpool and Sefton. We have both full-time and part-time positions available for the right candidates.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to build a career in education, particularly in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) sector. You will work alongside experienced professionals and support students with a range of learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with special educational needs in class
- Assisting the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Working with students in both 1:1 and small group settings
- Supporting the development of student's academic and social skills
- Helping with the preparation and planning of lessons and resources
Essential Criteria:
- A University degree (any subject considered)
- Experience working with young people in some capacity (voluntary or paid)
- Minimum of 2 education and employment references required
- A commitment to complete ongoing CPD (Continuous Professional Development)
- Willingness to process a DBS and register it on the update service
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a SEND environment is an advantage, but not essential
- Passion for working with children and young people
