Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEND Schools in Liverpool and Sefton

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistants to gain valuable school-based experience in SEND schools across Liverpool and Sefton. We have both full-time and part-time positions available for the right candidates.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to build a career in education, particularly in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) sector. You will work alongside experienced professionals and support students with a range of learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with special educational needs in class
  • Assisting the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Working with students in both 1:1 and small group settings
  • Supporting the development of student's academic and social skills
  • Helping with the preparation and planning of lessons and resources

Essential Criteria:

  • A University degree (any subject considered)
  • Experience working with young people in some capacity (voluntary or paid)
  • Minimum of 2 education and employment references required
  • A commitment to complete ongoing CPD (Continuous Professional Development)
  • Willingness to process a DBS and register it on the update service

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a SEND environment is an advantage, but not essential
  • Passion for working with children and young people
