Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive team in a special school catering to children with Speech and Language needs, Mental Health challenges, ASD, and ADHD.

The Role
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to students with a range of SEND needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Implement strategies to support learning, communication, and behaviour management.
  • Promote a safe and nurturing environment to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced: A minimum of 1 year's experience working in a SEND environment is essential.
  • Compassionate and Patient: Able to build strong relationships with children, adapting to their individual needs.
  • Knowledgeable: Confident in supporting children with ASD, ADHD, and Mental Health challenges.
  • Proactive and Reliable: Ready to take initiative and work as part of a collaborative team.
  • DBS Cleared: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is mandatory.
Essential Requirements
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a special school or SEND environment.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
