SEND SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Liverpool to work on a Long -term basis starting after Feb half term for 12 weeks!

We are working with a mainstream Primary School in the North Liverpool area who have an immediate requirement for a SEND Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with SEND. The pupil currently has an EHCP and requires someone who can help him achieve his goals and access the mainstream site. You will assist the pupil throughout the school day within various lessons and build a positive relationship to build confidence both personaly and academically.

This is an exciting role for a new educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential!

 What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:

  • Working in a KS2 class and supporting a child with additonal needs in the class 
  • Supporting pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Working with the class teacher to provide engaging lessons 

Essential Qualifications: 

  •  Must have recent and relevant experience in an education setting
  •  Must have a passion for supporting SEN children 
  • Holds a Level 2/3 qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, Etc.) or relevant experience
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher
