Randstad Education is working with a supportive primary school in Sefton to recruit a dedicated and reliable Teaching Assistant for a Year 6 class. This term-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on students' academic journeys.
Your Role: Key Responsibilities- Support Learning - Help Year 6 pupils stay focused, motivated, and engaged in their studies.
- Assist Teaching - Work closely with teachers to deliver creative, curriculum-aligned lessons.
- Provide Individual Support - Work with small groups or one-on-one to reinforce key concepts and boost understanding.
- Encourage Positive Behaviour - Help manage classroom activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare for Key Milestones - Support students as they prepare for SATs and the transition to secondary school.
- Build Relationships - Foster strong connections with students, parents, and staff.
- UK school experience is essential.
- Previous experience working with primary school students (ideally Year 6).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A patient and supportive approach to learning.
- A current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
