Year 6 Teaching Assistant - Full-Time (Fixed Term Until End of Academic Year)

Tradewind are looking for a dedicated and experienced Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a thriving South Liverpool primary school on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to support pupils in their final year of primary education, helping them prepare for key assessments and transition to secondary school. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the classroom, working closely with the teacher to enhance learning experiences and provide targeted support where needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons.

  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning and build confidence.

  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.

  • Provide targeted intervention for pupils preparing for end-of-year assessments.

  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of activities that support academic and personal development.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with Year 6 or similar age groups.

  • A relevant qualification is preferred.

  • Ability to engage pupils and support their learning effectively.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to show initiative in the classroom.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting teaching and learning.
