We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and budgets, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and BOMs using Eplan 8 CAD software.
  • Evaluate client projects and provide technical solutions to meet client specifications and requirements.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including FDS, SDS, HDS, STS, HTS, parts list, FAT, and IQ/OQ documentation in line with project requirements.
  • Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards and safety regulations, such as ATEX.
  • Support in the preparation of technical sales proposals.
  • Work closely with mechanical, software, and process engineers, as well as project managers, to integrate electrical systems into product designs.
  • Provide technical support to the assembly team, assisting with testing and troubleshooting from an electrical perspective.
  • Occasionally provide IQ/OQ support on-site at client locations.
  • Maintain awareness of industry standards like Gamp5 and the V-Model.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, with Eplan 8 being highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design and a knowledge of pneumatic design (desirable).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
