Electrical Site Lead

DATS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Lead on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing on-site operations and providing essential support to the management team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong track record in electrical supervision, a hands-on approach, and flexibility in working hours.  This is a temporary to potential permanent position with a salary range from £38000 - £57000 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage on-site electrical operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
• Take a hands-on role in electrical tasks, leading by example and maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Coordinate job schedules, ensuring effective resource allocation and timely completion of projects.
• Conduct electrical installations, testing, and inspections in line with regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare and complete test certificates accurately and efficiently.
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring materials are available for ongoing and future projects.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the team, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Communicate clearly with management, clients, and subcontractors to resolve issues and meet project requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in electrical supervision and on-site management.
• Strong understanding of the commercial challenges involved in electrical projects.
• Flexibility to work occasional twilight shifts and adjust working hours to meet project demands.
• Relevant certifications such as SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in electrical installations, testing, and inspection processes.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Experience with testing and inspection is essential.
