Job Description:
As the Electrical Engineering Manager for our transformer and electric motor repair shop, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations. Your role will encompass leadership, technical expertise, and project management. You will be expected to ensure the efficient functioning of the repair shop while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. Key responsibilities include:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electrical engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
2. Operations Management:
- Oversee the repair, refurbishment, and manufacturing processes for transformers and electric motors.
- Implement best practices to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
3. Project Management:
- Plan and execute repair and prototype development projects.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Maintain rigorous quality control procedures to guarantee the highest level of workmanship.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce defects.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections.
5. Technical Expertise:
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Assist in the design and development of prototype electrical systems.
6. Budget and Cost Control:
- Manage the repair shop's budget effectively, controlling costs without compromising quality.

7. Customer Relations:

- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
8. Health and Safety:

Qualifications:
- Minimum HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering and management roles, with a focus on transformers and electric motors.
- Strong understanding of transformer technology and electric motor repair processes.
