We have a number of exciting positions available for Waking Night Support Workers in the Liverpool area. In our Belmont Drive, high risk, high need project you will be working an average week of 35 hours, on a rolling 2 week rota.

You will be strong, outgoing and genuine, with a desire to improve the lives of the people we support. You will be skilled in developing positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries and remaining accepting and respectful.

New Start is a family-run, not-for-profit organisation, providing residential and supported accommodation services for vulnerable adults, families, and young people.

Responsibilities as a Waking Night Support Practitioner will include:

  • Supporting residents during the night, and dealing with any incidents that may occur in accordance with policy
  • Completing health and safety checks
  • Overseeing the safety of residents and other staff members
  • Overseeing the security of the building
  • Abiding by Health and Safety regulations
  • Undertaking administrative tasks as required
  • What we’re looking for in our ideal Waking Night Support Practitioner:
  • Previous experience in a similar post, supporting outreach services or within a hostel setting (Essential)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Housing/Health and Social Care, or be working towards this qualification (Essential)
  • Ability to accurately record information e.g. case notes and support plans (Essential)
  • Experience of Mainstay (Desired)
