Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Audit Manager to join their team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to directly liaise with clients, manage reporting requirements, and prioritise work to meet client expectations. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality audit and accounts work on client engagements. What you'll do:

As an Assistant Audit Manager, your role will be pivotal in establishing strong relationships with clients, managing their reporting requirements, and delivering high-quality audit and accounts work. You will be tasked with working on complex risk areas of audits, prioritising tasks based on risk level and time sensitivity. Your ability to build both internal and external networks of specialists will be crucial in this role. Additionally, you will attend client meetings, manage review slots, broaden your industry knowledge, carry out transactional work, manage WIPs and budgets.

  • Establish strong relationships with client staff through direct liaison.
  • Manage the client's reporting requirements ensuring that any expectations and/or deadlines are met.
  • Prioritise and plan work to meet the expectations of the given client managing any conflicting pressures by making the best use of time and resources.
  • Work on complex and significant risk areas of the audit, prioritising client work such that higher risk or time sensitive work is completed first.
  • Assist in delivering high quality audit and accounts work on client engagements.
  • Attend and play an active role in client planning and close down meetings.
  • Manage manager and partner review slots, communicating progress made.
  • Build both an internal and external network of specialists.
  • Broaden your knowledge of the industry, providing clients with timely insights and guidance.
  • Carry out transactional work, management of WIP and budgets.
