About the Role:

We are recruiting for an ambitious and experienced Audit Manager to join a well-established accountancy firm in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified auditor looking to step into a senior role where they can lead a dynamic audit team and manage an exciting portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors.

As Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing the audit process, building strong client relationships, and overseeing the work of junior staff. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented individual with exceptional leadership skills who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the audit process for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations.
  • Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, presenting audit findings to senior management and clients.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of auditors, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality performance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the key point of contact and providing expert advice.
  • Review audit files and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with other departments, such as tax and advisory, to deliver a full-service offering to clients.
  • Monitor budgets, manage resources, and ensure audit deadlines are met.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes and developments in the audit field.
What We're Looking For:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in managing audits from planning through to completion, ideally within a practice environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
