Finance Business Partner / Liverpool (Hybrid) / Salary £65,000 + bonus and a range of great company benefits

We are excited to be recruiting for a Finance Business Partner on behalf of our client, who are an award-winning, high-growth, leading player within their sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious finance professional to join a dynamic FP&A team, offering high visibility across the entire business and direct access to senior decision-makers.

This position would suit a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to develop their career by working on a variety of financial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting: Collaborate with your allocated business unit to understand its strategic goals and ensure these are embedded in the annual financial plan. You will support the execution of these goals throughout the year, providing independent and critical input to the budgeting process, leveraging insights from both analysts and your own experience.
  • Forecasting: Maintain and enhance the rolling Income Statement Model, ensuring the business has a clear year-end outlook that supports effective decision-making and aligns with budget objectives.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly financial reporting packs to senior stakeholders, including Shareholder/Board-level. You will also provide tailored business partnering support, evolving the reporting process in line with the company's growth.
  • Generating Insights: Apply your analytical and critical thinking skills to dive into key business areas such as sales, pricing, cost structures, and product profitability. You'll then partner with various stakeholders to offer actionable commercial insights that drive performance.
  • Decision Support: Use your financial acumen to deliver clear, data-driven insights to key decision-makers, helping executives navigate business challenges. You'll act as a trusted advisor, providing real-time support and recommendations that drive business strategy.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: With the company's ongoing growth, you'll have opportunities to get involved in a range of exciting initiatives, including M&A activity, due diligence, and refining the business model.

Key skills:

  • Fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, or similar, with strong analytical content is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and financial modelling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - you can take complex financial data and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to apply complex formulas and analytics to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Critical thinking - the ability to solve problems logically and draw clear conclusions from data.
