We are supporting a fantastic engineering client who are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team reporting into the Finance Director on a full time, permanent basis.

This role is predominately based on site due to the team developing however there is some flexibility. Salary is dependent on experience but ranging from £45,000pa - £50,000pa. There will also be a £5k annual bonus (paid quarterly) after a successful probationary period. Also fuel card, phone, etc.

This role will have 5 direct reports, so it is essential suitable candidates have previous experience managing a team within a finance team.

Responsibilities as a Finance Manager:

  • Direct supervision of accounting assistants & credit control function
  • Assist Finance Director with reporting of monthly MI to Senior Leadership Team
  • Full reconciliation of balance sheets on monthly basis - including bank recs
  • Identify Training requirements of team as well as training duties for new accounts staff
  • Manage, create and report month end packs - showing P&L, KPI's and labour data
  • Assist FD in annual budget process ensuring data has been certified
  • Managing and coordinating monthly reporting, budgeting and reforecast processes
  • Daily monitoring and report of 8 week rolling cashflow
  • Analysis of management data as and when necessary
  • Accountability for all HMRC reporting
  • Oversee the HR of the department and support the HR for the group
  • Hold quarterly inter-department audits to ensure integrity of financial data
  • Monthly supervision of WIP & Stock audits

Requirements of the role as a Finance Manager:

  • Knowledge of a MRP system would be advantageous
  • 5 years Lead Finance & Nominal management essential
  • Strong Sage experience essential
  • Experience of full balance sheet reconciliations essential
  • Financial Compliance experience
  • Strengths of closely controlling a month end timetable
  • Must have experience of team management and strong delegation skills
  • Ideally fully CIMA/ACCA Qualified as a minimum or QBE
