Finance Manager Role

NC Associates are working with a forward thinking and rapidly growing professional services SME based in Liverpool City Centre to assist in recruiting a fully qualified Finance Manager. My client is looking for an experienced, confident and ambitious qualified Accountant who can help drive and manage a the finance function alongside the senior management team, You will play i pivotal role in improving processes and implementing processes alongside a new system implementation which is planned in the next few months.

Finance Manager Responsibilities -

  • Production of monthly management accounts (P&L and balance sheet)
  • Liaise with Project Managers on an ongoing basis to maintain a grasp on each project as it develops, to ensure accurate charging
  • Review company expenditure, with a view to streamlining costs
  • Completion of Balance Sheet Reconciliation's
  • Analysis of monthly costs & investigation of variances to budget/forecast
  • Assisting with preparation of annual budgets & monthly and quarterly forecasts
  • Implementing a new finance system 
  • Openly communicate and build good working relationships with internal stake holders
  • Communicate effectively with team colleagues and drive improvements in processes

Finance Manager Experience Required -

  • Ideally CIMA qualified (not essential) or equivalent level of experience
  • Proven experience in an accountancy or finance role, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • WIP (Work In Progress) experience
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
