Financial Reporting Manager

Resourcery Group are currently working with a well-established, global business based in Liverpool who are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join the team in this newly created position. The company is a major international player within its field and is continuing to grow both organically and through acquisition. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a profitable and recognisable brand in this ideal role for a technically trained accountant. As Financial Reporting Manager you will work as part of a valued and high performing finance team and will gain extensive technical and commercial exposure. The Financial Reporting Manager will be a critical part of the next few years growth and will be involved with preparing financial statements and working closely with the wider finance team to provide accurate financial information. You will support the annual audit and help to drive process improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all areas of financial reporting compliance and statutory financial reporting for both UK and US GAAP.
  • Manage and complete local and foreign territory statutory audits.
  • Maintain the group’s lease accounting database and calculations.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting, including administration of reporting systems.
  • Engage in financial accounting, tax, and finance systems projects.
  • Report on actual and forecasted cashflows.
  • Maintain the group’s internal control matrix and ensure SOX internal control compliance.

Key Requirements 

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with post-qualification experience.
  • Previous financial control and management reporting experience.
  • Strong understanding of best practice technical reporting and financial controls/processes.
  • Experience in complex financial environments with high scrutiny.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to operate in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and logical decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
