We are currently working in partnership with a Public Sector body based in Liverpool, who are recruiting for a Group Finance Manager (Capital) on an permanentbasis. The position is due to start dependent on notice and the salary available is £54,900 - £60,600 per annuum DOE.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Capital Accounting and be able to lead the team through year end.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading a finance team in managing the accounting, and financial reporting of the Council’s capital programme
  • Collaborating with senior management teams, providing financial expertise and guidance in relation to budgeting, financial planning, and performance management
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on financial matters
  • Supporting the development of robust financial strategies and business cases, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives
  • Monitoring and analysing financial performance, providing timely and accurate management information, reports, and forecasts
  • Conducting financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Capital Accounting

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • CCAB qualified

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
