The Head of Financial Accounting and Reporting is responsible for overseeing all financial accounting and reporting activities within the public sector organisation. Duties include:
- Leading and managing the financial accounting team
- Preparing financial statements and reports
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures
- Managing budgeting and forecasting processes
- Providing financial analysis and recommendations to senior management
- Collaborating with internal and external auditors
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
- Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
