We are currently working in partnership with a Public Sector body based in Liverpool, who are recruiting for a Group Finance Manager (Capital) on an Interim basis while the client recruits for a permanent post holder. The position is due to start w/c 17th February and the daily rate is negotiable dependent upon experience.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Capital Accounting and be able to lead the team through year end.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

Leading a finance team in managing the accounting, and financial reporting of the Council’s capital programme
Collaborating with senior management teams, providing financial expertise and guidance in relation to budgeting, financial planning, and performance management
Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on financial matters
Supporting the development of robust financial strategies and business cases, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives
Monitoring and analysing financial performance, providing timely and accurate management information, reports, and forecasts
Conducting financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation

Experience required:

Experience required in Capital Accounting

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

CCAB qualified

Working hours:

37 hours per week
Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
