Overview

Resourcery Group are seeking a talented Commercial Finance Business Partner to support a leading Retail business in achieving its strategic goals and financial targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, business partnering, and strategic decision-making gained within a Retail environment, specifically with an online retail element to the role.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, the successfull applicant will be aiding commercial and operational decision-making, driving delivery of strategic goals.  You will be working closely with the Commercial Director, COO, Finance Director, Head of FP&A, Purchasing Director amongst others.  As such, the Commercial Finance Business Partner will need to be able to display high levels of EQ and proven experience in online/eCommerce retail.

The role is an expansive one:

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various business units to provide financial insights, recommendations, and support to drive business performance and profitability
  • Analyse financial data and market trends to provide strategic guidance and support in making key business decisions
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast performance and support budgeting and planning processes
  • Present financial analysis and reports to senior management to support key decision-making processes
  • Lead financial evaluation of commercial initiatives and investment opportunities to drive business growth
  • Identify opportunities to optimize business performance and profitability through cost analysis and revenue optimization
  • Provide support to the sales and marketing teams in pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and ROI analysis
  • Serve as the finance business partner by building strong relationships and providing financial insights to drive strategic objectives

Day-to-day

  • Collaborating with business units to understand their financial needs and providing strategic financial support
  • Analysing financial data and market trends to inform key business decisions
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to forecast business performance
  • Presenting financial analysis and reports to senior management
  • Evaluating commercial initiatives and investment opportunities to drive business growth
  • Building strong relationships with various teams to serve as a finance business partner

Applicants must:

  • Be CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified
  • Possess extensive retail / Finance Business Partnering experience
  • Proven experience in commercial finance, financial analysis, and business partnering with a strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strategic thinking and ability to provide insights and recommendations to drive business growth
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing priorities
