Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for an Order to Cash Manager who would be the first hire in the establishment of a new Shared Service Centre in Liverpool for a high-growth, PE-backed nationwide business.

The Role:

As an Order to Cash Manager, you will play a vital role in setting up and overseeing the end-to-end O2C process in a brand-new Shared Service Centre. You will define and implement procedures covering billing, collections, accounts receivable, dispute resolution, and cash application processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Leading a newly built team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, improving cash flow management, and delivering a robust O2C function that supports the growth of the organisation.

The Candidate:

We are looking for a highly skilled finance professional with experience managing Order to Cash processes in a Shared Service Centre or similar environment. The successful candidate will have prior experience leading teams and overseeing large transaction volumes. The role requires strong technical system and analytical skills (ERP systems and Excel preferred), an ability to streamline processes, and an approachable leadership style. Given the nature of this new venture, candidates with a proactive mindset who can manage change in a fast-paced environment are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage end-to-end Order to Cash processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and cash application.
  • Lead and develop the O2C team, conducting regular performance reviews and offering training and development to maintain high standards.
  • Handle escalated customer disputes and work with key stakeholders to establish resolution procedures.
  • Monitor and optimise cash flow performance, including metrics such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Partner with other departments, including Sales, Customer Service, and Finance, to continuously improve O2C efficiency.
