Description

Due to internal promotion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to lead our Corporate Risk, EL/PL Litigated team in Liverpool. Role Overview:As the Team Leader, you will operationally manage a team of individuals handling litigated EL/PL claims. You will lead, encourage, mentor and develop all members of the team to their maximum potential, to ensure the team meets its objectives and deliver their work standards as agreed in the client’s SLA, whist delivering commercial benefit to Keoghs. You will strive to continuously improve the quality of the team’s work.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management:

  • Lead and motivate a team of individuals at varying levels
  • Set objectives, monitor performance, provide feedback and support professional development.
  • Hold team meetings
  • Monthly 121 performance reviews
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment

Technical:

  • Plan & distribute workload 
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with legal developments related to the team / department and wider unit

Client Service:

  • Provide client briefs / updates
  • Manage client finances
  • Act as first point of contact for client complaints
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

ESSENTIAL:

  • Strong knowledge of all stages of the litigated claims handling process within a legal / insurance setting
  • Experience in EL/PL and/or corporate risk claims
  • Experience in a Team Leader / Leadership role with proven team success
  • People orientated with a desire to help others as well as an ability to manage performance where required
  • Highly developed knowledge of processes, systems and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Able to initiate and maintain business relationships
  • Shows commercial awareness in understanding the market and industry
  • Proficient in MS Office (word and excel in particular) and experience of using a Case Management system.
