Regional Health & Safety Advisor

ROLE: Regional Health & Safety AdvisorCOMPANY: Leading National SupermarketLOCATION: Liverpool with travel to regional sitesSALARY: £35-50,000 PAOur client, a leading national supermarket chain, is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team. As a Regional Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Manager in implementing the company's health and safety strategy across their stores and regional distribution centres.Regional Health & Safety Advisor Responsibilities Included:- Act as a competent person within your area of responsibility with regards to health & safety, fire safety, food safety and trading law.- Coordinate the company's response to any enforcement interventions within Regions.- Engage with the Regional teams (Store Operations, Regional Warehouse, Transport, Real Estate, Office functions and National Departments) to ensure health & safety, fire safety, food safety and trading law requirements are properly and fully considered.- Conduct Store Risk Assessments, Workplace Transport Risk Assessment and Fire Risk Assessments.- Conduct audits and inspections according to the agreed frequency across various stores and RDCs.Skills and Attributes:- Must be comfortable presenting to groups, therefore will need to possess excellent communication, attention to detail, time management and organisation skills.- Must hold a full driving licence and have access to their vehicle to complete field-based work.- Liaise with third party service providers including contractors with respect to health, safety and fire risks as required.- Respond to third party and local authority queries in relation to regulatory challenges.- Undertake investigations of any major work-related incidents (reportable incidents) and advise on any required injury/ harm prevention programmes.Requirements:- Proven track record in the retail or logistics sector- Proven experience as Health & Safety Advisor in a multi-site role- Qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate level or higher- Full UK Drivers' LicenseBenefits:- Competitive salary- Field-based role with frequent travel- Opportunity to work with a leading retailerTo be considered for this Regional Health & Safety Advisor role, you should have experience in a similar role within a retail or logistics environment.Gleeson Recruitment Group, we embrace inclusivity and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
